How to Use CoinBob

From scanning markets to reading each setup's entry, stop and target. Everything the app does, in one place.

Home

Your starting point after signing in: a set of cards, each a shortcut into one of the tools.

1
Market pulse: Fear & Greed, how many setups are firing (long vs short) and the biggest movers.
2
Market regime: BTC volatility versus its own history, total market cap, BTC dominance, funding, open interest, liquidations and the crowd long/short ratio.
3
Shortcuts: Fresh setups, your tracked setups and journal, the whale tracker, news and the Lab tools.
4
Customize: Drag the cards into the order you want, make each one full or half width, hide the ones you don't use, or reset to the default. Your layout is saved to your account.

The Screener

One row per live setup: the coin, which strategy fired, and the entry, stop and target. Free covers 20 large coins (BTC, ETH, SOL and other majors); Pro covers every Binance futures coin trading over $5M a day. No ranking; you sort and filter it your way.

1
Swing or scalp: Swing scans the 1D / 4H / 1H timeframes; scalp scans 1H / 15m / 5m. The trend arrows show the direction on each of those timeframes.
2
Read a row: Price, 24h change and volume, the trend arrows, then the setup: strategy, timeframe, entry, stop, target and R:R. A setup whose price already reached its stop or target is hidden.
3
Filter: By direction, strategy, confirmed entries only, trend-aligned (the setup's direction matches the higher-timeframe trend), minimum R:R, minimum volume or a positioning preset. Save a filter set as a screen.
4
Sort: Newest setups first by default; or by volume, 24h change or R:R.
5
Your next step: Star a setup to track it, open the position sizer, backtest that strategy on that coin and timeframe with one click (the flask icon), or click the coin to open its Analyze page.
6
Position sizer: Size a setup from your account size and risk per trade. It shows the real loss at the stop (risk plus fees and slippage), the margin and approximate liquidation price at the leverage you set on the exchange, warns if you would be liquidated before the stop, and estimates funding over your planned hold.
Good to know

Confirmed entries carry levels; watching signals don't yet. In our backtests most strategies' average result after fees is small or negative, so treat a setup as an idea to check. If data runs late, the Screener and the chart say so, with when it last updated.

Markets & Find

Market data for every coin you can open, and a search box that understands plain words.

1
Positioning: Open interest, top-trader and all-account long/short, taker buy/sell and liquidations over the last 24 hours, per coin. Click a column to sort. The OI vs price map plots every coin by its 24h price change against its 24h open-interest change.
2
Momentum & volume: Daily returns, strength versus BTC, momentum relative to volatility, volume versus normal and distance from the trend average. Descriptive only, never scored.
3
Find: Describe what you're looking for, such as "long breakouts on 15m where shorts are crowded", and see the coins that match.
Good to know

Negative funding means shorts are paying longs; rising open interest means new positions are opening. What that means for a given setup is your call.

The Analyze Page

Click any coin, from the Screener, your tracked setups or your journal, to open its chart with the setup drawn on it and the Analysis Engine sidebar next to it.

1
Timeframe and layout: Switch timeframes from 1m to 1D and show 1, 2 or 3 charts side by side. Scroll left on a chart to load older candles.
2
Strategy: Pick a strategy to see its markers on the candles and, with Strategy levels on, its entry, stop and target lines.
3
Analysis Engine: The sidebar on the right: Market Trend, Moving averages, Key Levels, Funding (the next payment with a countdown and the last 7 or 30 days), Killzones, Market Structure, Strategy levels and Positioning. Tick "Apply to chart" in a section to draw it; collapse the sections you don't need.
4
Liquidation map: The flame button shades the price levels where long and short positions were liquidated over the last 24 hours, next to the price axis.
5
Log a trade: Log a trade to your Journal straight from the chart, prefilled with the coin and price, plus the live setup's levels when the chart's strategy has one (otherwise a default stop and target you can change). It warns you if the coin already has an open trade.
6
Toolbar: Show your open journal trades on the chart, hide the grid, and (Pro) tune strategy settings or run a backtest over the history you choose, with the trades drawn on the chart.

Killzone setups (MSS entries, Pro)

The Killzones section finds ICT reversal patterns that follow Asian-session liquidity sweeps. A setup only appears once it clears every step below.

HTF biasSwing mode uses 4H EMA50 / EMA200 plus close alignment; scalp mode uses the 1H EMA200. Setups against the bias are not shown.
Range qualityThe Asian range must be at least 0.75× ATR(14, 1H). Very tight overnight ranges are skipped.
Single-side sweepExactly one side of the Asian range must be swept and reclaimed within 3 candles. If both sides are swept, no setup forms.
MSS + FVGA closed candle must break a confirmed swing pivot (2 candles each side) and leave a 3-candle fair value gap on the move.
Limit entryThe entry line is a pending order at the far edge of the FVG, not a market entry at the MSS close. Stop at the sweep wick ± 0.1× ATR; TP1 at the opposite Asian level, TP2 at the nearest 4H swing (or 1.5R).
InvalidationInvalidated setups stay on the chart, dimmed, with the reason: the other side was swept, the sweep was reclaimed, more than 6 hours passed without TP1, the stop or TP2 was hit, or the HTF bias flipped.
Good to know

Every overlay has its own entry in the Strategy Library, with how it's calculated.

Tracked & Journal

Follow setups without trading them, and keep a record of the trades you do take.

1
Tracked: Star setups on the Screener to watch them play out. Once price reaches the target or the stop they move to "Played out" with the real outcome.
2
Journal: trades: Log the trades you take and the signal you followed. Open trades track live and close themselves at the stop or target; closed trades roll up into your win rate and R by signal, after fees (your rate) and the funding paid or received while each trade was open.
3
Entry and risk: A trade logged from a setup keeps the setup's entry next to your actual fill, so you can see how much your entries cost you on average. Add the position size (in coins or dollars; the sizer fills it in) to see results in dollars as well as R, and the open-trades table shows how much of your account is at stake if every stop is hit.
4
Tags: Tag trades (for example "A+ setup" or "FOMO") to group your results your own way.
5
CSV import and export: Download your trades as a CSV, or import one: a CoinBob export, a spreadsheet or an exchange export. Rows are checked before anything is saved.
6
Journal: account: Log deposits, withdrawals and your balance to see your account over time.
7
Trading rules: Set your account size, risk per trade, daily stop and checklist. The position sizer and the discipline banner use them.

The Lab

Check strategies against real history before you rely on them (Pro).

1
Backtester: Run a strategy on one coin and timeframe over the history you choose, with your fees, slippage, balance and position size. Funding is charged for the time each trade is open. Results: trades, win rate, P&L, profit factor and drawdown.
2
Strategy Edge: Scan every strategy on one coin and timeframe over deep history, net of fees. A starting point for your own testing, not a verdict.
3
Builder: Build your own strategy from indicator and smart-money conditions, killzones and your own stop and target, then backtest it and use it on the Screener and Analyze pages.

Plans & Extras

What Pro adds, and a few things that are easy to miss.

Quick search

Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to search for any asset and jump to its Analyze page.

Every timeframe, more charts, scalp mode

PRO

Free covers 20 large coins (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and other majors) and every strategy on 4 timeframes (15m, 1H, 4H, 1D) with one chart and the swing screener. Pro adds every other liquid Binance futures coin (over $5M a day, new listings included), all 8 timeframes, up to 3 charts side by side, scalp mode and ICT killzone setups.

Strategy tuning

PRO

Change a strategy's settings from the Analyze toolbar. RSI / MFI is adjustable today: periods, oversold and overbought levels, the recovery check, an optional trend filter and an optional range-only (ADX) filter. Your settings apply to the Analyze chart and your backtests; the Screener and alerts use the defaults.

Journal stats

PRO

Your closed trades as an R histogram, win and losing streaks, and results by tag, timeframe and weekday.

Alert rules

PRO

Free includes 1 rule that fires while CoinBob is open. Pro allows 25 rules with push to your device when CoinBob is closed, plus killzone session alerts and whale alerts with your own USD threshold.

Account security

Turn on two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app in your profile. Each device you sign in on keeps its own session, and signing out on one doesn't sign you out elsewhere.

Data status

The status page shows how fresh each data feed is (candles, setups, prices, funding, positioning, liquidations), linked from the sidebar.

Free for everyone

The Screener, Markets, Find, Tracked, the Journal (with tags and CSV import / export), the liquidation map, funding history, the whale tracker and news.
